Before you begin your application, gather the documents you need to complete your candidate profile.

All instructional applicants must complete a candidate profile to be considered for employment. The candidate profile consists of:

• Personal information

• Current resume and work history

• Submission of two professional references from current/past supervisors or college professors using the following formats:
  o Letter of reference composed on business letterhead
  o The District’s Reference Evaluation Form (jobs.dadeschools.net/teachers/pdf/fm-3506.pdf)
  -Both references must have an original signature and be dated within the last year 

o Upload two references to your candidate profile

• Submission of official SEALED transcripts to M-DCPS via one of the following: 

o U.S. Mail or hand delivered to:
   Miami-Dade County Public Schools, Transcript Desk

• Job Specific Inventory (JSI) - The Job Specific Inventory consists of four (4) short answer questions.

• Proof of eligibility for consideration and potential program acceptance: a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a math or science field OR a passing score on at least one Subject Area Exam (SAE) in said field.

• Certification:
       o Apply to the Florida Department of Education for certification before full-time hire – not required for acceptance into the program.
        o Upload proof of subject area eligibility in a science and/or math field – either a valid statement of the Official Statement of Status of Eligibility or a passing score on the SAE – prior to being hired into a full-time position.
